Notizz Collective is an up and coming artistic collective in Bristol's vibrant music scene. They’re Female lead with their two owners, Liz (Event manager, networker, finances) and Nom (DJ, Event manager, networker) running the show. Other members of the group include; Will (DJ, Video editor, Producer), Curtis (DJ, Producer), Noah (Artist) and Poppy (Photographer).

The story of how they came to fruition begins in May 2024 when Liz and Nom threw a joint birthday party and got a few of their close friends to DJ. When the party ran smoothly, they decided they wanted to do it all the time.

Fast forward to July 2024, the girls spotted an Instagram post from a classic Bristol venue, The Crown. The post stated that they were looking for new event groups to host in their basement on Tuesday nights. This gave many up and coming artists and groups around Bristol a chance to get the ball rolling and get their names out there. Notizz was one of them! Their first event was a hit and they now work with the Crown often to put on fun and affordable events and get people partying.

The goal for the collective is to make nights out as affordable as possible and to keep grassroots venues in operation. With 2 grassroots venues closing down every month in the UK, it is incredibly important to  support the ones we still have as much as we can. These venues are so important to our communities and smaller artists. It is crucial that we keep them alive.

Inclusivity is also incredibly important with members of the collective being part of LGBTQ+. As with all creative spaces in Bristol, it is a topic very close to our hearts. Their events focus on each person's talent, so expect to hear a plethora of genres and themes at each one.

Notizz currently have 4 successful events under their belt and have worked with brands such as Wonky Goose, collating with owner, Goosey. EL-ZE, co-founder of another up and coming events group - Bristol Zoo and events manager for Rave It Up. In March, they collaborated with Aphrodite Collective at Basement 45 and plan to collaborate again later this year.

In the next few months, they have big plans with another Club night at The Crown on May 7th. At the end of the month on the 23rd of May, they’re taking part in a big family feud event with GET WEIRD and other Bristol groups such as Fatbelly sounds, Bad Bitch Dubz, Frontline, Harmonia and Step Twice. They’re doing a day rave in September to celebrate their first birthday. They are working closely with other local talent and groups to put on events that are both affordable and memorable. They also plan on expanding their horizons by making some other media such as videos, zines, clothes and recording for their SoundCloud.

They are currently looking for more members and collaborators… So, if you're creative in any format and want to get involved in doing cool stuff and having opportunities in the music scene, get in touch!
